The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME&R), Meghalaya has issued a notification regarding a change in the venue for counselling for admission to the BAMS course at IA Ayurvedic Medical College (IAMC), USTM for the academic session 2026-27.

As per Notification No. DHSME&RIUSTM/BAMS/2026/5881-B, dated September 15, 2026, the counselling venue has been changed due to unavoidable circumstances.

Meghalaya BAMS Counselling 2026: Revised Venue

The counselling will now be conducted at the following revised venue:

Meghalaya Government College of Nursing, Civil Hospital, Shillong, Barik Point

Candidates are advised to carefully check the counselling list for their respective reporting time.

The official Meghalaya Government portal has also listed the first-round counselling for admission to 1st Year BAMS at IA Ayurvedic Medical College (IAMC), USTM for the 2026-27 academic year.

Counselling Date and Reporting

The notice provided by DME&R mentions the counselling date as 11 September 2026, with the reporting time to be followed as per the candidate list.

Because the notification itself is dated September 15, 2026, candidates should verify the date and reporting time against the latest candidate list/official DME&R update before appearing for counselling.

Documents Required for BAMS Counselling

Candidates appearing for the counselling must bring the following original documents along with one self-attested photocopy:

1. Age Proof Certificate
2. UG-NEET 2026 Score Card and Admit Card
3. Domicile Certificate/Permanent Resident Certificate, if applicable
4. Class 10 and Class 12 Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates
5. ST/SC/OST Certificate, if applicable
6. One Passport-Size Photograph
7. Passport Verification, for NRI candidates
8. Certificate from the concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of residence supporting the candidate's claim as an NRI

Candidates should make sure that all documents are available in original form and that photocopies are self-attested before reaching the counselling venue.
