The Directorate of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME&R), Meghalaya has issued a notification regarding re-counselling for MBBS and BDS seats under the State Quota, including seats at Shillong Medical College, and applicable Central Pool seats for the academic session 2026-27.
The notification dated September 15, 2026, has been issued in pursuance of Government Order Health.153/2026/112 dated September 15, 2026.
The Meghalaya Health Department's official website has also listed the notification for Re-Counselling for MBBS and BDS Seats under State Quota and Central Pool Seats for the 2026-27 academic session.

Important: Candidates included in the enclosed eligible list are required to report at the venue by 11:00 AM sharp.
The re-counselling exercise is applicable to eligible candidates included in the list issued by the Meghalaya DME&R.
The exercise will cover admission to MBBS and BDS seats under the State Quota, including seats at Shillong Medical College, as well as applicable Central Pool seats.
Candidates should verify their names in the eligible candidate list before reporting for the re-counselling process.
According to the notification, the re-counselling process will be conducted in a fair, transparent and uniform manner.

Candidates should ensure that they have all necessary documents and certificates required for verification. Where applicable, candidates will also have to execute the prescribed Bond/Agreement after completion of the counselling and seat allotment process.
