The Directorate of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya has issued an important notification regarding UG counselling for the academic session 2026-27.
According to the notification, counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses under the State Quota will commence from September 1, 2026, and continue until September 3, 2026.
The counselling will cover Central Pool seats and Shillong Medical College, Shillong, as mentioned in the notification.

Candidates will be called for counselling according to their respective time slots.
The Meghalaya DME has provided flexibility for candidates who are unable to attend counselling on the first day.
Candidates who cannot attend counselling on Day 1 may attend the counselling process on Day 2 or Day 3, as per the instructions issued by the authority.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow the counselling schedule and attend the venue with all required original documents.
