The Directorate of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya has issued an important addendum for candidates participating in MBBS admission counselling for the academic session 2026-27.
According to the addendum dated August 31, 2026, candidates are required to bring the prescribed original documents to the DME office for counselling and document verification.
The notice has been issued as a partial modification of the earlier notification dated August 31, 2026. Candidates are advised to carefully check the document requirements and carry all applicable original certificates during the counselling process.
Candidates appearing for counselling at the Directorate of Health Services Medical Education & Research (DME), Pasteur Hills, Shillong, must bring the following original documents:

Candidates should ensure that the original documents are available and ready for verification at the time of counselling.
The addendum specifically directs candidates to bring their original documents listed by the Meghalaya DME office.
Candidates claiming benefits under applicable reserved categories should carry the relevant certificates, including the ST/SC certificate, wherever applicable.
Those required to submit a Domicile Certificate or Permanent Resident Certificate should also bring the applicable original document.Candidates are advised to cross-check all documents before appearing for counselling to avoid difficulties during the verification process.
