MP NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Round 2 Schedule Released, Choice Filling From September 19

The Office of Commissioner Medical Education, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh has released the tentative time schedule for the Second Round of MP State NEET MDS Counselling 2026 for admission to MDS courses.

According to the schedule dated September 15, 2026, the second-round counselling process will include registration editing, publication of remaining vacancies, revised merit list, fresh choice filling and locking, seat allotment, reporting, upgradation for the Mop-Up Round and online resignation/cancellation.

Candidates participating in the second round should carefully follow the prescribed schedule and complete each counselling activity within the specified deadline.

Registration Editing Facility

The registration editing facility will be available to willing candidates, except candidates who were already admitted during the first round.

The editing window will remain open from:

September 16 to September 17, 2026, up to 11:59 PM.

Candidates eligible for editing should complete any required changes within this period.

Revised Merit List and Vacancy Details

The remaining vacancy position for the second round will be published on September 18, 2026.

On the same date, the authority will publish the Revised Merit List and Eligible Candidates List for Second Round.

Candidates should check the revised list before proceeding with fresh choice filling.

Fresh Choice Filling and Locking Mandatory

Fresh choice filling and choice locking will be conducted from September 19 to September 21, 2026, up to 11:59 PM.

The authority has specifically stated that fresh choice filling is compulsory for all candidates who want to participate in the second round.

This requirement also applies to candidates who were admitted in Round 1 and have opted for upgradation.

Candidates should carefully fill and lock their fresh choices within the prescribed deadline.

MP NEET MDS Round 2 Seat Allotment

The Second Round Allotment Result is scheduled to be released on:

September 24, 2026

Candidates should check the official counselling portal after the allotment result is published and follow the instructions regarding reporting and admission.

Reporting and Admission

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to report in person at the allotted college for document verification and admission.

The reporting and admission period is scheduled from:

September 25 to September 29, 2026, up to 6:00 PM.

Candidates should carry the required original documents and complete the admission formalities within the prescribed period.

Upgradation Option for Mop-Up Round

Candidates admitted through the second round, as well as candidates admitted in Round 1 who opted for upgradation in Round 2, must exercise their upgradation option for the Mop-Up Round.

The upgradation option must be exercised at the time of admission at the college level.

Candidates can edit their upgradation option through their candidate login until:

September 29, 2026, up to 11:59 PM.

The option will be available as YES/NO.

Important Rule for Candidates Opting for Upgradation

The authority has clarified that candidates who opted for upgradation in Round 2 must lock their fresh filled choices.

If such candidates do not lock their fresh choices, they will:

  • Remain admitted to the Round 1 college, and
  • Not be eligible to opt for an upgrade in the Mop-Up Round.

Candidates should therefore ensure that their fresh choices are properly submitted and locked before the deadline.

Online Resignation and Cancellation

Online resignation or cancellation of admission at the college level will be permitted from:

September 25 to September 29, 2026, up to 6:00 PM.

Candidates should carefully review the applicable consequences before resigning or cancelling their admission.

Resignation Fee

Candidates resigning during the specified period will be liable to pay:

Non-NRI Candidates INR 2 lakh
NRI Candidates INR 10 lakh

Candidates who resign during this period will also become ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates participating in MP NEET MDS Counselling Round 2 should:

  1. Check whether they are eligible to participate in Round 2.
  2. Complete registration editing, wherever applicable, between September 16 and 17.
  3. Check the remaining vacancy and revised merit list on September 18.
  4. Fill fresh choices from September 19 to 21.
  5. Carefully lock the choices before the deadline.
  6. Check the Round 2 allotment result on September 24.
  7. Report to the allotted college between September 25 and 29.
  8. Complete document verification and admission formalities.
  9. Exercise the YES/NO upgradation option for the Mop-Up Round as required.
  10. Note the applicable resignation rules before cancelling or resigning from admission.

Important Note for Candidates

Fresh choice filling and locking is mandatory for all candidates wishing to participate in Round 2, including Round 1 admitted candidates who have opted for upgradation.

Candidates should not wait until the last moment to complete choice locking or admission formalities. The authority has also specified financial and counselling consequences for candidates who resign or cancel their admission during the prescribed period.

Candidates should follow the latest official notifications issued by the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education authorities for any further changes to the counselling schedule.
