The Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has issued an advisory dated October 1, 2026, for candidates participating in the Madhya Pradesh State-Level Combined Counselling for NEET UG 2026 Mop-Up Round. The advisory outlines important conditions related to security deposits, upgradation, admission procedures, forfeiture of security money and seat resignation during the mop-up counselling process.
As per the advisory, all candidates participating in the NEET UG 2026 Mop-Up Round Counselling will be required to deposit a security amount of INR 2 lakh online before filling their choices. For NRI candidates, the prescribed security amount will be INR 10 lakh. In the case of candidates who are already admitted and have opted for upgradation during the mop-up round, the security amount deposited for the mop-up round will be adjusted against the academic fee deposited for admission to the allotted college.
The advisory further states that candidates who were admitted through the first or second counselling round and opted for upgradation in the mop-up round will have to complete the admission process again at the newly allotted institution if they are upgraded. Even if a candidate is upgraded in terms of subject or category within the same previously allotted institution, the candidate will still be required to complete the admission process again at that institution.
Candidates allotted a seat during the Mop-Up Round must complete admission on the allotted seat. If a candidate does not take admission after being allotted a seat, the security amount deposited before choice filling will be forfeited. The security amount liable for forfeiture will be INR 2 lakh for regular candidates and INR 10 lakh for NRI candidates. Such candidates will also become ineligible to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
The Madhya Pradesh counselling authority has also specified conditions for candidates who wish to leave their allotted seat after the mop-up counselling process has commenced. If an already admitted candidate wants to resign from the allotted seat after the beginning of the mop-up round, the Seat Leaving Bond provisions will be applicable to the candidate.
Candidates participating in MP NEET UG 2026 Mop-Up Round Counselling are advised to carefully read the official counselling instructions and understand the financial and admission-related consequences before filling their choices. Candidates should also ensure that they complete admission formalities within the prescribed schedule if a seat is allotted to them.
