The Office of the Commissioner, Public Health and Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, has issued a notice regarding the extension of the Second Round resignation window under MP State Combined NEET UG Counselling 2026-27.

The notice dated September 21, 2026 states that the resignation window has been extended in view of the new counselling schedule declared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

MP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Revised Resignation Dates

As per the notice, candidates admitted through the Second Round of State counselling who wish to resign from their seats can complete the resignation process during the following period:

September 22, 2026 to October 1, 2026, up to 6:00 PM

Admitted candidates who wish to resign must report in person to the respective college of admission for completing the online resignation process.

Second Round Seat Resignation: Important Details

Candidates Must Report to the Allotted College

Candidates admitted through the Second Round who wish to resign from their seats are required to report in person to their respective college of admission.

The online resignation process will be completed through the college as prescribed by the counselling authority.

Candidates should complete the process within the notified deadline of 6:00 PM on October 1, 2026.

Resignation Penalty Applicable

The notice states that the prescribed penalty will apply to candidates who resign from their Second Round admission.

• Non-NRI candidates: INR 2 lakh
• NRI candidates: INR 10 lakh

Candidates should take note of the applicable financial penalty before proceeding with resignation.

Resigning Candidates Not Eligible for Further State Counselling

Candidates who resign from their Second Round seats will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of MP State UG counselling, as stated in the notice.

Candidates who wish to resign from their Second Round seat should:

1. Confirm their Second Round admission details.
2. Report in person to the respective admitted college.

5. Ensure that resignation formalities are completed before 6:00 PM on October 1, 2026.
6. Note the applicable INR 2 lakh non-NRI or INR 10 lakh NRI penalty.
7. Be aware that resignation will make them ineligible for subsequent State UG counselling rounds.
