The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the Round 1 choice filling process for NEET UG Counselling 2026. The choice-filling window was activated on August 7, 2026, allowing eligible candidates to submit their preferred colleges and courses for MBBS, BDS and other applicable programmes under the counselling process.

Candidates who have completed the registration process can log in to the official MCC UG Medical Counselling portal and enter their choices according to their preference.

Candidates Can Fill College and Course Choices

During the choice-filling window, candidates can select their preferred medical and dental colleges and courses and arrange them in the order of priority. Candidates should carefully review the available options before submitting their preferences.

The choices should be saved and locked within the prescribed timeline. Candidates should ensure that their final preferences accurately reflect their admission priorities before locking them.

How to Complete NEET UG Round 1 Choice Filling

Candidates can complete the choice-filling process by following these steps:

1. Visit the official MCC UG Medical Counselling portal.
2. Click on the UG Medical section.
3. Log in using the required credentials.
4. Select the Choice Filling option from the candidate dashboard.
5. Add preferred colleges and courses in the desired order.
6. Save the choices and review them carefully.
7. Lock the choices within the specified deadline.

Candidates should make sure that the choices are successfully saved and locked before the window closes.

Choice Locking Begins on August 12

The choice locking facility will begin on August 12, 2026, at 4:00 PM and will remain available until 11:00 AM on August 13, 2026. Candidates should complete the locking process within this period to ensure their submitted preferences are considered for seat allotment.

NEET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment on August 17

After completion of the choice-filling and locking process, MCC will process the candidates' preferences for Round 1 seat allotment. The NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on August 17, 2026.
