For ensuring compliance with the prescribed schedule and considering the limited time available for conducting counselling, all Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays will be treated as working days by participating institutes and colleges.

Candidates should therefore not assume that counselling, reporting or admission-related activities will remain closed on weekends or gazetted holidays.

What NEET UG Candidates Should Do

Candidates participating in NEET UG Counselling 2026 should carefully track the counselling schedule and:

  1. Check their seat allotment result after every counselling round.
  2. Complete reporting and joining within the prescribed deadline.
  3. Keep all original admission documents ready.
  4. Regularly check the MCC and respective State Counselling Authority websites.
  5. Follow the instructions issued by the allotted college.
  6. Do not assume that weekends or gazetted holidays are non-working days during the counselling period.

Candidates should carefully follow the applicable AIQ, Deemed/Central University or State Quota schedule, depending on the seat and counselling authority through which they are seeking admission.
