The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry has issued an important notice regarding the Round 2 allotment process for UG Non-NEET courses for the academic session 2026-27.

As per the notice dated September 2, 2026, candidates have been given an opportunity to update their course preferences for Round 2 allotment, if required.

CENTAC UG Non-NEET Round 2 Counselling Temporarily Withheld for Three Institutions

CENTAC has informed candidates that counselling and seat allotment through CENTAC have been temporarily withheld, pending further orders from the competent authorities, for courses at the following institutions:

• Sri Venkateshwara College Pharmacy
• Sri Venkateshwara College of Paramedical Sciences
• Indirani College of Nursing

The decision has been taken in accordance with communication received from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Puducherry.

Course Preference Update Deadline

Candidates participating in the UG Non-NEET Round 2 allotment can update their course preferences, if required, within the prescribed deadline.

Last date to update course preferences: September 3, 2026

Last time: 11:00 AM

Candidates should ensure that their preferred courses are properly updated before the deadline.

Empty Course Preferences Will Not Be Considered

CENTAC has clearly stated that candidates whose course preferences are empty will not be considered for allotment.

Therefore, candidates intending to participate in the Round 2 allotment should log in to their CENTAC dashboard and verify that their course preferences have been entered correctly.

How to Update Course Preferences for Round 2

Candidates can follow these general steps:

1. Visit the official CENTAC Puducherry website.
2. Log in to the candidate dashboard using the registered credentials.
3. Open the UG Non-NEET counselling section.
4. Check the existing course preferences.
5. Update or modify preferences, if required.
6. Ensure that the course preference list is not empty.
7. Submit/save the updated preferences before 11:00 AM on September 3, 2026.

Candidates should carefully check their preferences before submitting them.
