Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has announced the admission and counselling schedule for MBBS and BDS courses for the 2026 academic session. The schedule covers the application process, merit list publication, minority quota verification, NRI applications and the first round of online counselling.

As per the admission schedule, the prospectus and online application forms were made available on the university website from August 5, 2026. The last date for submitting the online admission application form was August 10, 2026, up to 5:00 PM, while candidates were allowed to make corrections in their submitted forms until August 11, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

Candidates applying under the Sports Category were also required to submit two printed copies of the online application form along with the Sports Gradation Certificate issued by the Director, Sports, Punjab, and self-attested copies of supporting documents at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, by August 11.

BFUHS MBBS BDS Admission 2026 Application Fee

The admission application fee is required to be deposited online through the University online payment gateway.

The fee was required to be deposited online on or before August 11, 2026, up to 3:00 PM.

Candidates claiming reservation under the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category are required to produce a valid UDID Card/Disability Certificate issued according to the applicable provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the norms prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Minority Quota Verification

BFUHS has also specified separate verification schedules for candidates seeking admission under the Christian Minority and Sikh Minority quotas.

Eligibility verification for Christian Minority Quota candidates is scheduled to be conducted at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, up to 5:00 PM on August 12, 2026.

Verification for Sikh Minority Quota candidates is scheduled at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar, up to 5:00 PM on August 12, 2026.

Candidates claiming admission under either minority quota must report to the respective verification centre with their original certificates and documents, including documentary proof supporting their minority status.

Only candidates whose eligibility is successfully verified will be permitted to exercise preferences for Minority Quota seats during online counselling.

NRI Quota Application Deadline

For candidates applying under the NRI Quota, the last date for submission of the physical application form is August 12, 2026, up to 4:00 PM.

The eligibility certificate application form and admission application form for NRI candidates are available separately through the university website.

BFUHS MBBS BDS Merit List 2026

The Provisional Merit List was scheduled to be displayed on August 13, 2026.

Candidates were given an opportunity to submit objections to the provisional merit list until August 14, 2026. The university has specified that objections must be submitted through personal appearance at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, along with relevant documentary evidence.

Objections submitted through email or any other electronic mode will not be entertained.

The revised merit list, if applicable, after disposal of objections is scheduled for August 15, 2026.

BFUHS MBBS BDS Counselling 2026: First Round Schedule

The first round of online counselling is now underway. Candidates can submit their preferences through online choice filling from August 16 to August 19, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

The provisional seat allotment result is scheduled to be displayed on August 22, 2026.

Candidates who have objections to the provisional seat allotment can submit them on August 23, 2026, up to 3:00 PM. Such objections must be submitted through personal appearance at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, along with supporting documents. Objections through email or other electronic modes will not be accepted.

The revised provisional seat allotment, if applicable, is scheduled to be displayed on August 24, 2026.

Physical Reporting and Admission

Candidates who are provisionally allotted seats must report physically to their respective colleges from August 25 to August 28, 2026.

During physical reporting, candidates will be required to undergo original document verification, medical examination wherever applicable, completion of admission formalities and payment of six months' tuition fee through the University Online Payment Gateway available in the candidate login.

Candidates should carefully follow the reporting instructions and carry all required original documents to the allotted institution.
