The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has published the Provisional Allocation of MBBS/BDS Seats for the 2nd Round of Online Counselling, Session 2026.

The allocation was published on September 21, 2026, following the judgment dated September 18, 2026, passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in CWP-26785-2026 (O&M), Rachit Kotru Vs. State of Punjab and Others.

Following the court judgment, a vacancy arose under the J&K Category against the Government Quota at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda. BFUHS processed the allotment of the vacant seat strictly according to merit and the college choices/preferences submitted by candidates.

According to the provisional allocation list, the vacant MBBS seat has been allotted to the following candidate:

BFUHS has stated that the vacant seat was processed strictly according to the merit and choices/preferences of colleges given by the candidates.

The allocation is described as purely provisional and does not by itself confer a right on the candidate to claim admission to the allotted course or college.

Document Verification and Eligibility Mandatory

The provisional allocation is subject to verification and authentication of the candidate's original documents and certificates.

Admission will depend on:

• Successful verification of original documents.
• Fulfilment of all prescribed eligibility conditions.
• Compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Compliance with the relevant prospectus and Government instructions.

Candidates should therefore complete all required admission formalities and document verification as instructed by BFUHS.

Provisional Allocation Can Be Cancelled

BFUHS has clarified that the provisional allocation or admission can be cancelled if, at any stage, a candidate is found to have:

• Withheld or concealed any material fact.
• Suppressed relevant information.
• Misrepresented any fact or information.
• Submitted false, incorrect or misleading information or documents.
• Obtained the provisional allocation through fraud or misrepresentation.

Such provisional allocation or admission may be cancelled forthwith, without prejudice to any other action that may be taken under applicable rules or law.
