The Rajasthan NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board-2026, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, has issued an urgent notice dated September 20, 2026, regarding the revision of the Round 2 provisional seat allotment result for PwBD/PwD candidates.

The revision has been made in compliance with the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 10262 of 2025, The West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd. & Ors. vs. Dipendu Biswas & Ors., 2026 INSC 330, dated April 7, 2026.

According to the notice, all allotments made to PwBD/PwD candidates in the earlier Round 2 provisional allotment list dated September 14, 2026 for MBBS and BDS admissions have been declared “NULL and VOID”. A revised provisional Round 2 allotment result has subsequently been issued exclusively for PwBD/PwD candidates.

Rajasthan NEET UG Round 2 PwBD/PwD Allotment Revised

The revised result applies only to PwBD/PwD candidates and does not constitute a general revision of the Round 2 result for other candidates.

The Board has stated that the revision has been undertaken to apply the applicable horizontal reservation and merit-based adjustment principles to PwBD/PwD candidates in accordance with the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling framework and applicable reservation provisions.

As a result, the revised allotment may lead to changes in the:

• Category or quota
• Allotted college
• Seat allotment
• Fresh allotment, wherever applicable

The revised allotment will be based on the applicable seat matrix, merit, eligibility, choices and reservation provisions.

Round 2 Joining Deadline for PwBD/PwD Candidates

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the Revised Provisional Round 2 Result must report to SMS Medical College, Jaipur for completion of the prescribed joining and admission formalities.

The reporting deadline is:

September 20, 2026, up to 5:00 PM

Candidates must also download their revised provisional allotment letter within the prescribed time.

Allotment Letter Download Deadline

The revised Round 2 provisional allotment letter will be available for download only until:

September 20, 2026, 4:00 PM

After 4:00 PM, the facility will be disabled to facilitate the further counselling process.

Candidates are therefore required to download the revised allotment letter before the deadline.

Candidates Who Already Paid the Fee Need Not Pay Again

The Rajasthan counselling authority has clarified that candidates who have already deposited the applicable fee do not need to deposit the fee again.

However, candidates must comply with the revised allotment and reporting requirements wherever applicable.

Candidates who have already joined are also advised to re-report if their allotment has been revised.

Revised Result Is Provisional

The revised Round 2 allotment result remains provisional and indicative in nature.

The Board has stated that the revised result is subject to:

• Verification and scrutiny of eligibility
• Verification of PwBD/PwD status and supporting documents
• Verification of category, reservation and domicile status, wherever applicable
• Verification of NEET merit/rank and qualifying eligibility
• Reconciliation of candidate data and seat matrix
• Verification of documents and information submitted by candidates
• Application of applicable counselling and reservation rules
• Subsequent Government or competent authority notifications
• Directions or orders of courts

Therefore, candidates should not treat the revised provisional allotment as an absolute or final right to a particular seat.

Earlier Allotment Does Not Create a Vested Right

The Board has clarified that publication of the earlier September 14, 2026 Round 2 allotment, issuance of an allotment letter, payment of fees, reporting or provisional joining does not by itself create a vested or indefeasible right to retain a particular:

• Seat
• College
• Category
• Quota
• Admission status

Any allotment can be revised if subsequent verification, reconciliation, reservation provisions or directions from a competent authority or court require consequential changes.

Allotment May Be Cancelled After Verification

The Board has reserved the right to verify, scrutinise, modify, revise, withdraw or cancel an allotment or admission, wholly or partly, if:

• The candidate is found ineligible.
• PwBD/PwD status or supporting documents are not established as required.
• Any document or information is incorrect, incomplete, invalid or misleading.
• A discrepancy is found in category, reservation, merit or seat-matrix data.
• A technical, clerical, computational or administrative error is identified.
• Subsequent verification or reconciliation requires correction.
• Cancellation or revision is required under applicable rules or directions of competent authorities or courts.

Any vacancy arising from such revision or cancellation will be dealt with according to the applicable counselling rules and the prevailing seat matrix.

Candidates Must Check Revised Result

The Rajasthan counselling authority has advised PwBD/PwD candidates to:

1. Check the Revised Provisional Round 2 Seat Allotment Result carefully.
2. Download the revised allotment letter before 4:00 PM on September 20, 2026.
3. Report to SMS Medical College, Jaipur by 5:00 PM on September 20, 2026, wherever required.
4. Re-report if they have already joined and their allotment has been revised.
5. Keep all original documents and required copies ready.
6. Follow further instructions published on the official counselling website.

The Board has also stated that documents deposited earlier will remain available with the respective colleges and, if required, will be transferred from one college to another.

The Rajasthan counselling notice states that the revised result has been issued in view of the principles laid down by the Supreme Court regarding the manner of application and adjustment of horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD/PwBD).
