The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Government of Tamil Nadu, has released the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic session 2026-27.
A total of 9,437 MBBS and BDS seats have been allotted in the first round of counselling. Of these, 7,484 seats have been allotted under the Government Quota, while 1,953 seats have been allotted under the Management Quota.

The Round 1 allotment includes seats distributed under both Government Quota and Management Quota categories.
Under the Government Quota, a total of 7,484 MBBS and BDS seats have been allotted. Under the Management Quota, 1,953 seats have been allotted.
The allotment has been prepared based on the applicable counselling rules, candidate merit, NEET UG rank, choices submitted during counselling, category and availability of seats.
The Round 1 allotment has also provided an indication of the closing ranks for different colleges and courses.
For Government Quota MBBS, the reported closing General rank was 27,758 at Government Erode Medical College and Hospital, Perundurai.
For Government Quota BDS, the reported closing General rank was 26,617 at K.S.R. Institute of Dental Science & Research, Tiruchengode.
Under the Management Quota, the reported closing General rank for MBBS was 26,929 at Tagore Medical College and Hospital, Chennai, while the BDS closing General rank was 26,699 at Ragas Dental College & Hospital, Chennai.
Candidates should note that closing ranks can vary according to college, course, quota and category.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 1 should carefully read the allotment instructions and complete the required admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.
