The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Tamil Nadu, has announced a revised schedule for Round 1 of Tamil Nadu UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
The revision has been made in accordance with the revised UG State Schedule 2026 dated August 19, 2026, issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Notification No. 20/SCS1(1)/2026 dated August 20, 2026, candidates participating in Round 1 of Tamil Nadu UG MBBS and BDS counselling can complete their registration, choice filling and choice locking until 5 PM on August 24, 2026.
The revised schedule for Round 1 is as follows:

Candidates who wish to participate in the first round are required to complete their choices within the revised deadline. After the choice-filling window closes, the Selection Committee will process seat allotment on August 25 and 26, 2026.
The Round 1 seat allotment result for Tamil Nadu UG MBBS and BDS counselling will be published on August 27, 2026.
Candidates will be able to download their Allotment Order from August 27 until 12 noon on September 5, 2026.
Candidates who receive an allotment must complete the required reporting process within the prescribed timeline. The last date for reporting for Round 1 is September 5, 2026, up to 5 PM.
Candidates participating in Tamil Nadu UG MBBS and BDS Counselling 2026 should carefully follow the revised schedule issued by the Selection Committee.
The schedule has been modified following the revised UG State Counselling schedule issued by MCC on August 19, 2026. Candidates should ensure that their choices are filled and locked before the deadline to participate in the Round 1 allotment process.
