The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Tamil Nadu, has issued an important notification for candidates seeking admission to PG Allied and Healthcare Professional Courses for the 2026-27 academic session.
As per Notification No. 1784/SCSII(2)/2026 dated August 24, 2026, the Government has permitted the Selection Committee to conduct centralised counselling for Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Institutions affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
The centralised counselling will cover seven postgraduate Allied and Healthcare Professional courses from the academic year 2026-27.

The notification further states that the Government has directed the Selection Committee to conduct an entrance examination for the 2026-27 academic year for the above-mentioned courses.The entrance examination will be conducted according to the admission criteria of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions.
Candidates seeking admission to these PG programmes should therefore prepare for the entrance examination as per the prescribed eligibility and admission requirements.
The Selection Committee has also published the relevant undergraduate-level syllabi for candidates preparing for the entrance examination.The syllabus is based on the respective syllabus of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

The Government has authorised the Selection Committee to conduct centralised counselling for Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Institutions for these PG Allied and Healthcare Professional courses.
The counselling will apply to eligible admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. Further details regarding the entrance examination, application process, eligibility, important dates, counselling and seat allotment will be governed by subsequent notifications issued by the Selection Committee.
