The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal has issued a notification for online registration for admission to BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS undergraduate AYUSH courses for the academic year 2026-27.
The admission process will be conducted under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) in Government and Private AYUSH colleges affiliated with KNRUHS in Telangana.
The notification is intended to determine the Telangana State Merit Position for eligible candidates based on their NEET UG 2026 rank and other prescribed eligibility conditions.

Candidates should complete the registration and upload all required certificates within the prescribed deadline.
Candidates must have secured the prescribed cutoff score or above in NEET UG 2026.

Only candidates satisfying the prescribed NEET UG qualification and other eligibility conditions will be considered for the State Merit Position.
The notification covers admission against Competent Authority Quota seats in Government and Private AYUSH colleges affiliated with KNRUHS.
For Government AYUSH colleges and Private Homoeopathy Colleges, the Competent Authority Quota seats will be determined after deducting 15% of the intake contributed to All India Quota seats, wherever applicable.
The detailed category-wise seat matrix for the academic year 2026-27 will be notified on the KNRUHS website before candidates are asked to exercise web options.
The tuition fee will be payable as notified by the Government of Telangana.
Candidates seeking admission under the Competent Authority Quota must satisfy the Telangana local candidate requirements specified under G.O.Ms.No.138 HM&FW(C1) Department dated October 4, 2024.
A candidate must be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder and satisfy the applicable local status conditions.

Domiciles of other states are not eligible for Competent Authority Quota seats in Telangana.

Candidates must also satisfy the applicable regulations of the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), as applicable to the course.
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course must satisfy the prescribed NCISM requirements.
The Science subject marks requirements are the same as specified for the applicable categories.
In addition, candidates must have passed Urdu, Arabic or Persian as one of the subjects in Class 10 or Class 12.
Candidates who have not studied Urdu, Arabic or Persian will have to study Urdu along with Arabic and Mantiq wa Falsafa (Logic and Philosophy) during the First Professional BUMS session, as prescribed.
The notification also states that the Pre-Tib examination will be for one year.
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2026.
Candidates who do not attain 17 years of age by December 31, 2026 are not eligible for admission.
There is no upper age limit for admission to AYUSH undergraduate courses.
Age will be calculated according to the date of birth mentioned in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC).
The notification states that relaxation of the age eligibility criteria will not be permitted for underage candidates.
Candidates claiming admission under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must indicate their PwD status while submitting the online application.
Such candidates will have to appear before a Medical Board constituted by KNRUHS for evaluation of their disability status.
The schedule for the Medical Board will be notified separately by the University.

The registration and verification fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted to a future date.
Candidates are required to upload scanned original certificates in PDF format.

Candidates should ensure that all mandatory certificates are properly scanned and uploaded.
KNRUHS has clarified that applications may be automatically rejected if mandatory certificates are not uploaded, the application is incomplete, the passport-size photograph is missing or the declaration area does not contain the candidate's signature.
Candidates should carefully verify all details before submitting the application.
The provisional final merit position will be prepared after scrutiny of the online application and uploaded certificates.
The merit position will be based primarily on the NEET UG 2026 rank, along with the other eligibility criteria prescribed in the notification.
The University will subsequently publish the provisional final merit list.
Candidates should note that obtaining a merit position does not by itself mean that the candidature has been finally accepted.
The University will verify the original certificates at the time of admission at the allotted college. If discrepancies are found, the provisional allotment can be cancelled.
KNRUHS has clarified that online registration and uploading of scanned original certificates will be completed only once, irrespective of the number of counselling rounds.
Candidates therefore need to ensure that all mandatory certificates are uploaded correctly during this registration process.
No separate notification will be issued for verification of original certificates.

After allotment, selected candidates must download the allotment order and report to the Principal of the allotted college.

The Admission Committee of the allotted college will conduct final scrutiny of the original certificates.
If any discrepancy is found, the provisional allotment order may be cancelled.
The notification states that colleges for which the required Letter of Permission (LOP) from the applicable regulatory bodies has not been received as on the date of notification may be included in the seat matrix once the required LOP is received.
