The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal has issued a notification for exercising web options for the Second Phase of counselling for admission to BDS courses for the academic year 2026-27.
The counselling is being conducted under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) for admission to affiliated Government and Private Dental Colleges in Telangana, along with the Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad.
The second-phase counselling also includes candidates under the PwD, Anglo Indian, PMC and CAP categories, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.
Eligible candidates can exercise their BDS web options through the official counselling portal:

Candidates should complete their web options within the prescribed time. No extension should be assumed beyond the notified deadline.
Candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration and have been verified by the concerned department staff, and whose names appear in the final merit list of UG Admissions published by KNRUHS on August 28, 2026, including subsequent addendums, are eligible to exercise web options.
The facility is also available to eligible candidates belonging to:
categories, wherever applicable.
KNRUHS has specified certain restrictions for Round 2 participation.
Candidates who were allotted BDS seats during the first phase of counselling but did not report to the respective dental college or discontinued the course are not eligible to exercise web options in the second phase.
Candidates who were eligible but did not exercise web options during the first phase of counselling are also not eligible to exercise web options in subsequent phases.
Candidates who were allotted BDS seats in Round 1, joined the course and are continuing their admission, are eligible to exercise web options for the second phase.
KNRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices a candidate can exercise.
Eligible candidates can select any number of dental colleges in which they are interested in taking admission, according to their eligibility.
Candidates are advised to include all colleges in which they genuinely wish to take admission rather than restricting their choices only to colleges showing vacancies at the time of option entry.
Candidates have been advised to exercise web options for all colleges in which they are interested, irrespective of the vacancies displayed in the seat matrix.
This is because vacancies can arise dynamically during counselling due to sliding of candidates from their first-phase allotted seats to other seats based on the choices exercised during the second phase.
Therefore, a college or course showing no vacancy at the beginning of the option-entry process may subsequently have a vacancy during allotment.
Candidates must exercise their choices carefully.
If a candidate is allotted a new BDS seat in the second phase based on the web options submitted during Round 2, the seat allotted in the first phase will be automatically cancelled and allotted to another eligible candidate.
Candidates should therefore understand the sliding mechanism before submitting their preferences.
At the time of exercising web options, an One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number.
The password consists of a six-letter code using English capital letters A to Z.
Candidates should follow the detailed option-entry instructions provided by KNRUHS before submitting their choices.
After saving the options, candidates are advised to take a printout of their saved options for future reference.
Candidates allotted BDS seats in the second phase are required to pay a University Fee of INR 12,000.

After successful payment of the University Fee, candidates can download their allotment order.
KNRUHS has clarified that the University Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
In case of a failed transaction followed by a successful duplicate payment, candidates can submit a representation for refund of the failed/duplicate transaction through:

Such refunds, if applicable after verification, will be processed according to the prescribed procedure after closure of admissions.
For candidates allotted seats at Government Dental College & Hospital, Hyderabad, tuition fee is payable as notified on the college website.
For seats in Private Dental Colleges, tuition fee will be payable according to G.O.Ms.No. 98, HM&FW(C1) Department, dated August 7, 2026.
Candidates should verify the applicable tuition fee before finalising their web options.
Candidates who receive an allotment will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number.
They can also log in to the official BDS counselling portal to check their allotment status.
After allotment, selected candidates must:
Failure to complete the admission process within the prescribed date will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
The candidate's options will also not be considered for subsequent counselling phases in such circumstances.
Candidates who were admitted in Round 1 and subsequently slide to another college during the second phase must first obtain relief from the Round 1 college.
They will have to collect their original certificates and applicable fee-related documents and report to the newly allotted college before the last date of joining.
Candidates who do not join the newly allotted college in the second phase will not be eligible for further counselling phases.
Final verification of original certificates will be carried out at the allotted Dental College.
If any discrepancy is found during verification, the provisional allotment can be cancelled and further action may be taken according to KNRUHS regulations.
Original certificates submitted at the time of admission will not be returned unless the candidate discontinues the course.
