Telangana NEET MDS Counselling 2026: KNRUHS First Phase Web Options Open from September 19

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has issued a notification for exercising web options for the First Phase of MDS Counselling 2026-27 under the Competent Authority Quota.

The notification, dated September 19, 2026, is applicable to eligible non-service and service candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration, provisionally verified and whose names have been included in the final merit list of MDS Admissions 2026-27 published on the KNRUHS website.

The first phase of web-based counselling will be conducted for MDS seats in affiliated Government and Non-Minority Dental Colleges of Telangana.

Telangana NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Web Options Schedule

Eligible candidates can exercise their web options through the official Telangana MDS counselling portal within the prescribed schedule.

Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list published on September 19, 2026 can exercise web options according to their eligibility.

No Limit on Number of Choices

KNRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can exercise during MDS web counselling.

Candidates can select any number of:

  • MDS specialities
  • Dental colleges
  • Course and college combinations

according to their eligibility and preference.

Candidates are advised to include only those courses and colleges where they are genuinely interested in taking admission.

Important: Web Options Must Be Exercised in First Phase

Candidates in the final merit list who do not exercise web options during the First Phase of counselling will not be eligible to exercise web options in subsequent phases.

The university has stated that this condition has been introduced to prevent seat blocking.

Therefore, eligible candidates who wish to participate in later counselling phases should complete the First Phase web-option process within the prescribed deadline.

Candidates Must Use a Computer

KNRUHS has specifically instructed candidates to exercise web options through a computer with an internet connection.

Candidates are advised not to use mobile phones or tablets for submitting web options.

After saving the web options, an OTP will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number. The OTP will consist of a six-letter code using capital English letters A to Z.

Candidates should carefully follow the instructions available on the counselling portal before submitting their options.

Candidates Should Take Printout of Saved Options

After saving their web options, candidates are instructed to take a printout of the saved choices for future reference.

Candidates should carefully verify their options and priority before final submission.

University Fee of INR 35,000

Candidates who are allotted an MDS seat must pay a University Fee of INR 35,000 through the online payment gateway.

The allotment order can be downloaded only after payment of the University Fee.

The fee can be paid through online payment methods including:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Internet Banking

The tuition fee is separate and has to be paid directly at the allotted dental college. The tuition fee will be as notified by the Government of Telangana.

Seat Matrix Available on KNRUHS Website

The speciality-wise MDS seat matrix for affiliated dental colleges is available on the KNRUHS website.

Seat allotment will be conducted according to the applicable Government Orders and relevant orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and Hon'ble High Court.

Candidates should check the available seats before exercising their web options.

What Happens After MDS Seat Allotment?

Candidates who are allotted seats will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number after the allotment.

They are also required to check their allotment status through the official website.

After paying the University Fee, selected candidates can download the allotment order and must report to the Principal of the allotted dental college within the date and time mentioned in the allotment order.

Original Certificate Verification

Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted dental college by the admission committee.

Candidates must submit all required original certificates, relevant bonds and pay the applicable tuition/college fee to complete the admission process.

If any discrepancy is found during the original certificate verification, the provisional allotment may be cancelled and further action may be taken according to KNRUHS regulations.

Failure to Join Can Affect Further Counselling

Candidates who receive an MDS seat but fail to complete the admission process within the specified deadline will have their admission cancelled automatically.

Such candidates will also not be permitted to exercise web options in subsequent counselling rounds, as per the notification.

Similarly, candidates who exercise web options and are allotted an MDS seat but do not join the allotted college will not be eligible for subsequent web-option phases.

University Fee and Other Fees Non-Refundable

KNRUHS has stated that the University Fee and other fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.Candidates should therefore carefully consider their choices before submitting web options and making the required payments.
