Telangana NEET MDS Counselling 2026: First Phase Reporting Deadline Extended to September 28

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has announced an extension of the reporting time for candidates allotted seats in MDS courses under Competent Authority Quota (CQ) during the First Phase of Counselling for the academic year 2026-27.

The allotment list was issued by KNRUHS on September 22, 2026. As per the earlier schedule, candidates were required to report to their allotted colleges by 4:00 PM on September 25, 2026.

Through the latest notice dated September 25, 2026, the University has extended the reporting deadline to 2:00 PM on September 28, 2026.

KNRUHS MDS Counselling 2026: Revised Reporting Deadline

Candidates who were allotted MDS seats in the First Phase of Competent Authority Quota counselling but have not yet reported to their allotted dental college can now complete the reporting and admission process within the extended deadline.

Candidates Can Report Till September 28

All candidates who received an MDS seat in the First Phase of counselling and have not yet reported to their respective allotted colleges can now report on or before 2:00 PM on September 28, 2026.

Candidates must fulfil all applicable admission requirements and pay the prescribed fee at the time of completing the admission process.

Candidates are advised to complete the reporting formalities well before the extended deadline.

Dental Colleges Instructed to Complete Admission Process

KNRUHS has instructed the Principals of all concerned Dental Colleges to permit candidates allotted seats through the First Phase of MDS CQ counselling to report and complete their admission process within the extended time.

The Principals have also been directed to ensure that the details of candidates who have reported and completed admission are correctly updated on the University counselling admission portal.

The status of candidates who have not reported must also be updated in the portal.

Portal Data to Be Frozen by 2:30 PM

The University has directed the concerned Dental College Principals to freeze the reported/not-reported admission data on the counselling portal by:

September 28, 2026, at 2:30 PM

Colleges have been instructed to strictly comply with the revised reporting and data-update schedule.

Candidates Warned About Seat Loss

Candidates should note that the extension does not remove the requirement to complete admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.

KNRUHS has stated that failure to report to the allotted college and complete the required admission formalities within the extended period may result in loss of the allotted seat, as per the applicable counselling rules and instructions.

Candidates should therefore ensure that their admission is completed before 2:00 PM on September 28, 2026.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates allotted MDS seats in the First Phase of KNRUHS Competent Authority Quota counselling should:

  1. Check their First Phase MDS seat allotment details.
  2. Contact the allotted Dental College regarding reporting and admission.
  3. Complete all prescribed admission requirements.
  4. Pay the applicable prescribed fee.
  5. Report to the allotted college on or before September 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
  6. Ensure that the admission process is completed within the extended deadline.
  7. Keep proof of reporting and admission for future reference.

Candidates should not wait until the final hours to complete the reporting process.
