The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal has issued a notification for the Second Phase of Web-Based Counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the Management Quota, i.e. B & C/NRI Category, for the academic year 2026-27.

The counselling will cover affiliated Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Army College of Dental Sciences and Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences affiliated to Anurag University.

According to the notification dated September 22, 2026, eligible candidates can exercise their web options from 2:00 PM on September 22 to 2:00 PM on September 24, 2026.

KNRUHS MBBS, BDS Management Quota Round 2: Web Options Schedule

Candidates must exercise their web options using a computer with an internet connection.

Who Can Exercise Web Options in Round 2?

Candidates whose names were included in the final merit list for MBBS/BDS Management Quota admissions published on the KNRUHS website on September 9, 2026, along with candidates included through subsequent addendums and corrigendums, are eligible to participate, subject to their registration and category eligibility.

However, KNRUHS has specified certain restrictions.

Candidates Not Eligible for Round 2 Web Options

The following candidates cannot exercise web options in this phase:

• Candidates allotted seats in the first phase who did not report or discontinued the course at the respective medical/dental college.
• Candidates who did not exercise web options during the first phase.

Candidates Eligible After Joining Round 1

Candidates who were allotted MBBS/BDS seats in the first phase, joined the course and are continuing their studies, are eligible to exercise web options in the second phase.

Fresh College and Category Preferences

Eligible candidates have to exercise web options for MBBS seats according to their preferred college and category under B & C/NRI Management Quota.

There is no limit on the number of choices a candidate can exercise. Candidates can select any number of eligible colleges and courses in their preferred order.

Candidates are also advised to consider colleges where vacancies are not currently displayed in the seat matrix because vacancies may arise during counselling due to sliding of candidates from seats allotted in the first phase.

Important Rule on First Phase Seat

If a candidate exercises web options during the second phase and is allotted an MBBS/BDS seat according to the choices submitted, the seat allotted in the first phase will automatically be cancelled and may be allotted to another eligible candidate.

Candidates should therefore exercise their choices carefully and in the order in which they genuinely prefer the colleges and categories.

If a candidate is allotted a seat according to the choices exercised but does not join the allotted course, the candidate will not be permitted to exercise web options in subsequent counselling phases.

KNRUHS Management Quota University Fee

Candidates allotted seats in the second phase must pay the prescribed University Fee through the online payment gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking and download the allotment order.

The notification states that the University fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Tuition Fee for MBBS and BDS

The tuition fee is payable directly at the respective Medical or Dental College.

For affiliated colleges, the tuition fee will be as notified by the Government of Telangana under G.O.Ms.No.98, HM&FW(C1) Department, dated August 7, 2026.

For Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences, the notification specifies:

• B Category: INR 16,50,000 per annum
• C/NRI Category: INR 24,75,000 per annum

Candidates should check the applicable fee structure before exercising their choices.

Telangana Management Quota B Category Reservation

As per the Government of Telangana rules cited in the notification, 85% of Management Quota B Category seats are reserved for local candidates of Telangana, while 15% seats are open to candidates from across India.

The notification states that the 15% unreserved seats will be allotted first, followed by seats reserved for Telangana local candidates under the Management Quota B Category.

Minority and Army Dental College Seats

KNRUHS has specified additional rules for certain institutions and categories.

Private Minority Medical Colleges: Management Quota B & C/NRI seats are reserved for Muslim Minority candidates. If eligible Muslim Minority candidates are not available, seats may be filled with Non-Minority candidates up to a maximum of 30% during the final phase of counselling, as stated in the notification.

Army College of Dental Sciences: Management Quota seats are reserved for wards of Army personnel as per applicable AWES regulations.

NRI Category Candidates Must Submit Sponsorship Documents

Candidates allotted seats under the NRI category must produce the required sponsorship documents in original at the allotted college.

The notification requires relevant documents including:

• Original NRI sponsorship letter from the NRI relative
• Copy of sponsor's passport/residence proof
• Bank statement or passbook of the sponsor

Candidates should ensure that all required NRI documents are available for verification at the time of admission.

OTP and Web Option Instructions

A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number while exercising web options.

The OTP will consist of a six-letter code using English capital letters A to Z.

Candidates are instructed to:

1. Use a computer with an internet connection.
2. Exercise choices in the order of preference.
3. Carefully review the selected options.
4. Save the web options.
5. Take a printout of the saved options for future reference.

Candidates will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number after seat allotment, if a seat is allotted. They can also log in to the counselling portal to check their allotment status.

Reporting After Seat Allotment

Selected candidates must download their allotment order after payment of the University fee.

They must report to the Principal of the respective Medical or Dental College on or before the joining date mentioned in the allotment order.

At the time of joining, candidates must:

• Submit original certificates.
• Submit relevant bonds.
• Pay the applicable tuition/college fee.
• Complete the admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.

Failure to complete the admission process within the specified joining period will result in automatic cancellation of admission, and the candidate's options will not be considered in subsequent counselling phases.

Discontinuation Penalty

KNRUHS has stated that admitted candidates will have to pay a discontinuation penalty of INR 20 lakh, as per Government orders, if they discontinue the course after the applicable free-exit period in order to obtain their original certificates.

Candidates should carefully read the applicable regulations before accepting and joining an allotted seat.

Original Certificate Verification

Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted Medical or Dental College.

If any discrepancy is found during verification, the provisional allotment may be cancelled and further action may be initiated as per University regulations.

The notification also states that if discrepancies are found at any stage, including after closure of admission, the admission may be cancelled and action may be initiated under the applicable rules.
