Candidates can exercise web options through the official counselling portal using a computer with an internet connection.
As part of the second-phase counselling, enhanced seats will be available at:
The university has stated that details of vacant and enhanced seats will be published on the KNRUHS website. Candidates can exercise options for MBBS seats in all medical colleges affiliated with KNRUHS.
Candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration and provisionally verified, and whose names appear in the final merit list of UG Admissions published by KNRUHS on August 28, 2026, or in subsequent addendums, are eligible.
This includes eligible candidates from categories such as EWS, PWD, PMC and CAP.
Candidates who were allotted an MBBS seat in the first phase, joined the course and are continuing their studies are also eligible to exercise web options for the second phase.
However, candidates who were allotted a seat in the first phase but did not report or discontinued after joining are not eligible. Candidates who did not exercise web options in the first phase are also not eligible for the second phase.
KNRUHS has clarified that there is no limit on the number of choices a candidate can exercise.
Candidates can select any number of medical colleges they are interested in, subject to their eligibility. The university has advised candidates to include all colleges they are genuinely willing to join, even if seats are not currently shown as vacant, as vacancies may arise during the counselling process due to sliding.
Candidates should exercise their options carefully. If a candidate is allotted a new MBBS seat in the second phase according to the options submitted, the seat allotted in the first phase will be automatically cancelled and offered to another eligible candidate.
If a candidate receives a seat according to their web options but does not join the allotted/slided college, the candidate will not be eligible for further counselling phases.
Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to the Principal of the concerned medical college within the deadline mentioned in the allotment order and complete document submission and fee payment formalities.
Selected candidates must pay a University Fee of INR 12,000 through the online payment gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking and download the allotment order.
Candidates who already paid the University Fee during the first phase and slide to another college in the second phase do not have to pay the University Fee again.
Tuition fees at Government Medical Colleges are payable as notified by the respective college, while fees at private medical colleges will be as prescribed under G.O.Ms.No. 98 dated August 7, 2026.
Candidates should exercise web options only for colleges they are genuinely willing to join. If a candidate is allotted a seat but fails to join within the prescribed deadline, the admission may be cancelled and the candidate may become ineligible for subsequent counselling phases.
The university also stated that final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted/slided medical college. Any discrepancy may lead to cancellation of provisional allotment.
