The Tripura Medical Counselling Committee (TRMCC), Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, has issued an educational notification regarding Round 3 of Tripura Undergraduate Medical Counselling 2026.

As per the notification, Round 3 counselling will commence from September 30, 2026 for Tripura State Quota/Domicile seats and All India candidates other than Tripura candidates.

The detailed Round 3 counselling schedule has already been or will be published on the official counselling website.

Fresh Registration Allowed for Round 3

Candidates who are eligible to participate in the counselling process but did not register during the earlier rounds will be allowed to register afresh for Round 3 of Tripura Undergraduate Medical Counselling 2026.

Newly registered candidates will have to pay the prescribed Registration Fee and Security Deposit, as notified earlier. Both payments are mandatory for participation in Round 3.

During online registration, candidates will also be required to upload documents related to their eligibility, including the NEET UG 2026 Score Card, NEET UG Admit Card, Age Proof Certificate and other relevant certificates/documents.

Candidates Who Did Not Join Round 2 Seat

TRMCC has issued specific instructions for candidates who were allotted seats in Round 2 but did not take admission.

For such candidates, the Security Deposit will stand forfeited. They will have to pay both the Registration Fee and Security Deposit afresh to participate in Round 3.

Candidates should therefore carefully check the applicable payment requirements before completing Round 3 registration.

Candidates Advised to Fill Desired Choices

TRMCC has advised all participating candidates to fill their desired choices even if seats in the concerned category are not currently displayed as available.

According to the notification, vacancies may arise during the counselling process because of upgradation or other permissible reasons.

Candidates are therefore advised to exercise their choices carefully while participating in Round 3.

Rules for Candidates Already Admitted

Candidates who have already been admitted in an earlier round and wish to participate in Round 3 for upgradation may fill additional choices.

However, such candidates will not be permitted to remove their presently allotted/admitted institution from the applicable counselling process.

Candidates should also regularly visit the website of their allotted institution for information regarding physical verification, admission formalities, fees, documents and other institutional requirements.

Round 3 Seat Allotment and Exit Rules

TRMCC has specified important rules for candidates who receive a seat in Round 3.

A candidate who is allotted a seat in Round 3 but does not join or take admission against the allotted seat will be liable for exit with forfeiture of the Security Deposit and elimination from further rounds of counselling, as applicable under the counselling rules.

Further, once a candidate is admitted against a seat allotted in Round 3, the candidate will not be permitted to upgrade or resign from that allotted seat, subject to the applicable counselling guidelines.

What Happens to the Earlier Seat After Round 3?

If a candidate participating in Round 3 does not receive any new seat, the seat already allotted or admitted in Round 1 or Round 2, as applicable, will be retained.

However, if the candidate is upgraded to another seat in Round 3, the previously allotted/admitted seat will automatically stand cancelled and will become available for allotment to another eligible candidate.

TRMCC has clarified that such a candidate will have no claim over the previously allotted seat after upgradation.

Candidates are therefore advised to exercise their choices carefully during Round 3.

No Resignation From Retained Round 1 or Round 2 Seat

Candidates who retain a seat allotted or admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 but are not allotted a new seat in Round 3 will not be permitted to resign from the retained seat thereafter, subject to the applicable counselling rules.

Candidates should carefully review all applicable counselling instructions before submitting their choices.

Eligibility and Qualification

Eligibility and qualification for admission will be governed by the Information Bulletin of Tripura Undergraduate Medical Counselling 2026 and the relevant guidelines and instructions issued by the NTA, MCC, NMC, Ministry of AYUSH and respective institutions, as applicable.
