The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun has issued an important notice regarding document verification of candidates admitted through Round I and Round II of NEET UG 2026 Uttarakhand State Centralized Counselling.

According to the notice published on September 17, 2026, candidates who were allotted seats in Round I or Round II on the basis of their merit, choices/preferences and category/sub-category and have completed the admission process at their allotted institutions will continue to hold their admissions on a provisional basis.

Round 1 and Round 2 Admissions Remain Provisional

HNBUMU has clarified that admission completed at the allotted institution does not make the admission final at this stage.

The domicile and category/sub-category documents of all admitted candidates will be forwarded by the respective institutions to the concerned districts for verification.

Candidates are therefore required to ensure that all documents submitted by them meet the applicable requirements.

The verification process will cover documents related to:

• Domicile
• Category
• Sub-category

The respective institutions will forward these documents to the concerned districts for verification.

If any document is found to be invalid, incorrect or not in accordance with the applicable requirements, the candidate's admission will be cancelled immediately, as stated in the notice.

Round 3 Counselling After Document Verification

HNBUMU has further clarified that Round III of Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 counselling will be conducted only after completion of verification of domicile and category/sub-category certificates and documents by the concerned districts in all aspects.

This means the certificate verification process will precede the commencement of the Round III counselling process.

Candidates should therefore regularly monitor the official university website for further announcements regarding the Round III schedule.
