The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal has issued a revised tentative schedule for Round 2 of West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2026.
According to Memo No. HFW-23099/320/2026/M/2262 dated September 3, 2026, the revised schedule covers counselling for State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats in West Bengal.
Candidates qualified through NEET UG 2026 can participate in the second round by completing registration, fee payment, verification, choice filling and choice locking within the prescribed schedule.

All timings mentioned in the schedule are according to server time.
Candidates qualified through NEET UG 2026 will be required to complete the online registration process for Round 2.
Registration will begin at 1:00 PM on September 7, 2026 and continue until 6:00 PM on September 9, 2026.
After successful registration, candidates must complete the prescribed online fee payment by 12:00 midnight on September 9, 2026.
Candidates should complete both registration and fee payment within the specified deadlines to remain eligible for the subsequent counselling process.
After successful registration and fee payment, eligible candidates will undergo verification at the already designated college and time slot provided by the counselling software.
The verification process will be conducted from:
September 8 to September 10, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The notice specifies that this verification requirement is not applicable to NRI candidates, with further details governed by the relevant counselling instructions.
The revised schedule also provides a window for candidates who wish to surrender their allotted seats.
Candidates can complete online seat surrender at the allotted college level by appearing with their original documents.

Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Candidates who intend to surrender their seats should complete the prescribed process within the specified time.
The list of successfully verified candidates along with the Round 2 seat matrix will be published on:
September 12, 2026 after 4:00 PM
Candidates should check the published list and seat matrix before proceeding with their choices.
Online choice filling and choice locking for verified candidates will begin at 6:00 PM on September 12, 2026.
The choice filling and locking window will close at:
10:00 AM on September 14, 2026
Candidates should carefully arrange their preferred colleges and courses before locking their choices. Once choices are locked, candidates should follow the applicable counselling rules for the allotment process.
The Round 2 seat allotment result is scheduled to be published on:
September 15, 2026 after 6:00 PM
Candidates who receive an allotment should check their allotment details and follow the admission instructions issued by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee.
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to report to their respective allotted institutions and complete the admission process between:
September 16 and September 18, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Candidates must carry the required original documents, pay the applicable college fee and complete the required bond and admission formalities.
The Directorate has specified special arrangements for admission to private institutions.
For private medical colleges, the admission process will be conducted at designated Government Medical Colleges in Kolkata, as per the separate notice published on the official website.
For private dental colleges, the admission process will be conducted at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College.
Candidates should carefully check the related instructions before reporting for admission.
Candidates who receive an upgraded seat in Round 2 will have to complete the necessary formalities before moving to the newly allotted institution.
Such candidates must obtain their fee and documents back from the previous college along with the server-generated relieving letter before proceeding for admission to the newly allotted college.
Candidates should ensure that all required documents and admission formalities are completed before reporting to the upgraded institution.
