The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal has issued Memo No. HFW-23099/320/2026/M/2489 dated September 17, 2026, announcing the revised tentative schedule for the additional admission day of Round 2, Round 3 and Online Stray Vacancy Round of WB NEET UG Counselling 2026.

The schedule applies to State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats in West Bengal. Candidates participating in the counselling process should carefully follow the revised dates and complete registration, fee payment, verification, choice filling, seat surrender and admission formalities within the prescribed deadlines.

WB NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 2 Additional Admission Day

An additional day has been provided for reporting and admission of candidates allotted seats in Round 2.

Candidates must report to the allotted institute with their original documents, requisite college fee and bond. Admission will be completed after physical document verification and successful re-verification through the prescribed process.

For candidates allotted seats in private medical colleges, the admission process will be conducted at designated Government Medical Colleges in Kolkata as per the related notice published on the official website. For private dental colleges, the admission process will be conducted at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College.

Additional Round 2 Admission Date:
September 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Upgraded candidates must obtain their fee and documents back from the previous college along with the server-generated relieving letter before proceeding to the newly allotted institution.

West Bengal NEET UG Round 3 Counselling Schedule 2026

The Directorate has also released the tentative schedule for Round 3 of WB NEET UG Counselling 2026.

All timings are as per server time, wherever specified in the notice.

Round 3 Registration and Fee Payment

Candidates who are qualified through NEET UG 2026 and eligible to participate in the counselling process can complete online registration during the prescribed Round 3 window.

Registration will begin at 11:00 AM on September 28, 2026 and remain open until 6:00 PM on September 30, 2026.

The online fee payment facility will remain available from 11:00 AM on September 28 until 12:00 midnight on September 30, 2026.

Candidates must complete both registration and fee payment as applicable before proceeding with the subsequent counselling stages.

Candidate Verification and Seat Surrender

After successful registration and fee payment, candidates will undergo verification at the already designated college and software-assigned time slot.

Verification will take place on:

September 29, September 30 and October 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The notice states that this verification process is not applicable to NRI candidates, for whom separate instructions are provided in the relevant notice.

Candidates can also surrender their allotted seats at the college level during the prescribed window:

September 30 and October 1, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Round 3 Choice Filling and Locking

The list of successfully verified candidates and the Round 3 seat matrix will be published on October 1, 2026, after 5:00 PM.

Verified candidates can then participate in online choice filling and choice locking.

October 1, 2026, 6:00 PM to October 4, 2026, 10:00 AM

Candidates should carefully review the available seats before submitting and locking their preferences.

Round 3 Seat Allotment and Admission

The Round 3 allotment result will be published on:

October 8, 2026, after 4:00 PM

Candidates allotted seats in Round 3 must report to the allotted institution and complete the admission process within the prescribed schedule.

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Candidates must carry the required original documents, college fee and bond for physical document verification and admission.

For upgraded candidates, the previous institution's fee and documents must be collected along with the server-generated relieving letter before reporting to the newly allotted college.

West Bengal Online Stray Vacancy Round 2026

The revised schedule also includes the Online Stray Vacancy Round for eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates.

Candidates participating in the Stray Vacancy Round should carefully follow the prescribed registration, payment, verification and choice-filling schedule.
