The Pragati Scholarship is an initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to support girl students pursuing Technical Degree or Diploma courses in AICTE-approved institutions.
The aim is to empower women, promote technical education, and reduce the financial burden on families.
You must meet all of the following:
Gender:
Only female students are eligible.
Must be enrolled in an AICTE-approved technical degree programme.
Must be in 1st year (regular entry) OR 2nd year (lateral entry) of a degree course.
Family income should not exceed 8 lakh per year.
Only two girl children per family can apply.
Admission should be through a recognised/regular admission process.
Students admitted through the management quota are not eligible.
50,000 per year (lump sum).
Up to 4 years for degree courses (1st year entry).
Up to 3 years for 2nd-year lateral entry.
You can use the scholarship amount for:
Tuition fees
Books and stationery
Equipment/tools required for the course
Laptop/desktop
Software or education-related resources
Hostel fees
Medical expenses
Non-academic expenses
Prepare the following documents in scanned format:
Passport-size photograph
Signature of the student
Class 10 marksheet (and Class 12 for degree courses)
Admission letter/proof of admission
Fee receipt for the current academic year
Aadhaar card
Aadhaar-linked bank passbook in the student’s name
Family income certificate (issued by the competent authority)
Caste certificate (if applicable: SC/ST/OBC)
Declaration signed by parents/guardian
A bona fide certificate from the institution
Register on the National Scholarship Portal click Here
Log in using the application ID and password.
Selectthe AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme from the list.
Fill in personal, academic, and bank details.
Upload all required documents in the correct format.
Submit the application.
Your institute verifies the application.
After verification by AICTE, the scholarship amount is transferred directly to your bank account through DBT.
