Eligibility: Must belong to the Scheduled Tribe category and be studying in a recognized institution
Income Limit (Scholarship Component): Annual family income should not exceed 6 lakh (Not applicable for fellowship)
Benefits: Covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, contingency grant, HRA (for fellowship), and other educational expenses
Selection Basis: Eligibility, document verification, and institutional approval
Coverage: Government institutes, accredited universities, and notified premier institutions across India
Income Criteria: The total family income of the student to be eligible for this scholarship from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.0 lakh per annum.
Universities/Institutions covered under the scheme: Students who have taken admission in the notified list of 252 reputed premier Institutions by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs are eligible to apply.
1. Tuition & Admission Fees: Full coverage for Govt. institutions;ceiling of Rs.2.50 lakhs per annum for private institutions as per guidelines.
2. Books & Stationery: Rs.5000/- per annum without bills/ voucher
3. Stipend: Rs.3000/-per month
4. Computer & Accessorie: Rs.45000/- (One-time assistance during the course tenure)

Go to the official website: National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – scholarships.gov.in
Click “New Registration” on the homepage.
Read the Guidelines for Registration carefully.
Tick the undertaking/consent box.
Click Continue.
Step 3: Fill the Registration Form
Enter the following details:
Student Name (as per Aadhaar)
Mobile Number
Email ID
Gender
Bank Account Number & IFSC
Aadhaar Number
An OTP will be sent to your mobile for verification.
After verification, your NSP Application ID will be generated.
(This ID is very important for login.)
Go to Student Login → Select Academic Year.
Enter:
Application ID
Password
Captcha
Click Login.
On first login, you must change your password.
Complete the form by entering:
Religion
Category (SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority)
Annual Family Income
Aadhaar / EID details
Current Course
Previous Qualification
Roll Number
Institution details (Select from dropdown)
Your name must match bank account name
Provide correct IFSC & account number
Documents vary by scholarship but usually include:

Caste Certificate (if applicable)
Bonafide Certificate
Marksheet (previous exam)
Bank passbook copy
