PM YASASVI PMS – Delhi

The Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC, EBC & DNT students aims to provide financial assistance to eligible students studying at the post-matric / post-secondary level in recognized institutions across India. The scholarship helps students from OBC, EBC and DNT communities pursue Class 11, 12, Diploma, UG, PG, Professional, Technical and Research courses without financial hardship.

  • Must belong to OBC / EBC / DNT category as notified by State/UT/Central Government.

  • Must be an Indian national and a permanent resident of the respective State/UT.

  • Must have passed Class 10 (matriculation) or equivalent.

  • Must be studying in recognized post-matric courses (Class 11 to Ph.D).

  • Family annual income must not exceed 2.50 lakh.

  • Students pursuing regular, distance or online courses are eligible.

  • Cannot hold two scholarships simultaneously—must choose one.

  • Not eligible if studying the same level again (e.g., BA after BA, MA after MA).

  • Only two boys per family can receive the scholarship; no limit for girls.

  • Admission must be through a transparent/merit-based process (no management/NRI quota).

Group 1 – Professional UG/PG Courses

(e.g., MBBS, BTech, MTech, CA, CS, MBA, MPhil, PhD)

  • Tuition Fee: Rs.10,000

  • Academic Allowance: Rs.10,000

  • Total: Rs. 20,000/year

Group 2 – Other Professional Degree/Diploma Courses

(e.g., BPharm, Nursing, Paramedical, Hotel Management, ITI, Polytechnic)

  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 5,000

  • Academic Allowance: Rs. 8,000

  • Total: Rs. 13,000/year

Group 3 – General UG/PG Courses

(BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, MCom)

  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 2,000

  • Academic Allowance: Rs. 6,000

  • Total: Rs. 8,000/year

Group 4 – Post-Class X Non-Degree Courses

(Class 11 & 12, vocational, diploma, ITI)

  • Academic Allowance: Rs. 5,000

  • Tuition Fee: Nil

  • Total: Rs. 5,000/year

Payment Mode: Full amount is sent via DBT to the student's bank account using Aadhaar-based payment.

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Aadhaar number

  • Caste certificate (OBC/EBC/DNT)

  • Income certificate (valid, issued by competent authority)

  • Previous qualifying exam certificates

  • Domicile certificate

  • Bank account details (Aadhaar linked)

  • Freeship Card registration (issued online)

Step 1: Visit the NSP Portal

Go to the official website: National Scholarship Portal (NSP)scholarships.gov.in


Step 2: New Registration

  1. Click “New Registration” on the homepage.

  2. Read the Guidelines for Registration carefully.

  3. Tick the undertaking/consent box.

  4. Click Continue.


Step 3: Fill the Registration Form

Enter the following details:

  • Login
  • Student Name (as per Aadhaar)  

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

  • Gender

  • Bank Account Number & IFSC

  • Aadhaar Number

 An OTP will be sent to your mobile for verification.

After verification, your NSP Application ID will be generated.
(This ID is very important for login.)


Step 4: Login to NSP

  1. Go to Student Login → Select Academic Year.

  2. Enter:

    • Application ID

    • Password

    • Captcha

  3. Click Login.

On first login, you must change your password.


Step 5: Fill the Scholarship Application Form

Complete the form by entering:

  •  Personal Details
  • Religion

  • Category (SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority)

  • Annual Family Income

  • Aadhaar / EID details

 Academic Details

  • Current Course

  • Previous Qualification

  • Roll Number

  • Institution details (Select from dropdown)

 Bank Account Details

  • Your name must match bank account name

  • Provide correct IFSC & account number


Step 6: Upload Required Documents

Documents vary by scholarship but usually include:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Income Certificate

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Bonafide Certificate

  • Marksheet (previous exam)

  • Bank passbook copy

  • Fee Receipt / Admission proof

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
