YASASVI Post-Matric Haryana

The Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC, EBC and DNT Students aims to provide financial assistance for education after Class 10 so that eligible students can complete higher education without financial barriers.
It covers Class XI to Ph.D. level, including diploma, vocational, professional, and technical courses. This scheme is implemented by States/UTs, and scholarship is awarded by the state where the student is permanently settled.

Student Eligibility

  • Must belong to OBC, EBC or DNT category.

  • Must be Indian national and permanent resident of the respective State/UT.

  • Must have passed Class 10 (matriculation) or equivalent.

  • Must study in recognized institutions (listed in Section 4).

  • Must not already be holding another government scholarship (can choose only one).

  • Maximum income limit: 2.5 lakh per year (parents + student income combined).

Not Eligible

  • Students studying Class XI–XII in continuous school courses (unless Class X board exam is separate).

  • Students repeating the same stage of a completed course (e.g., BA → BA again).

  • Students pursuing professional courses after completing one professional career (e.g., LLB after B.Ed).

Additional Notes

  • CA/CS/ICWA students considered day scholars.

  • Tuition fees paid even for students taking online/distance courses.

  • States may add extra allowance from their budget.

Step 1: Visit the NSP Portal

Go to the official website: National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – scholarships.gov.in


Step 2: New Registration

  1. Click “New Registration” on the homepage.

  2. Read the Guidelines for Registration carefully.

  3. Tick the undertaking/consent box.

  4. Click Continue.


Step 3: Fill the Registration Form

Enter the following details:

  • Login
  • Student Name (as per Aadhaar)  

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

  • Gender

  • Bank Account Number & IFSC

  • Aadhaar Number

 An OTP will be sent to your mobile for verification.

After verification, your NSP Application ID will be generated.
(This ID is very important for login.)


Step 4: Login to NSP

  1. Go to Student Login → Select Academic Year.

  2. Enter:

    • Application ID

    • Password

    • Captcha

  3. Click Login.

On first login, you must change your password.


Step 5: Fill the Scholarship Application Form

Complete the form by entering:

  •  Personal Details
  • Religion

  • Category (SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority)

  • Annual Family Income

  • Aadhaar / EID details

 Academic Details

  • Current Course

  • Previous Qualification

  • Roll Number

  • Institution details (Select from dropdown)

 Bank Account Details

  • Your name must match bank account name

  • Provide correct IFSC & account number


Step 6: Upload Required Documents

Documents vary by scholarship but usually include:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Income Certificate

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Bonafide Certificate

  • Marksheet (previous exam)

  • Bank passbook copy

  • Fee Receipt / Admission proof

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)

FAQ

A.Students belonging to OBC, EBC, and DNT categories who are permanent residents of Haryana and have passed Class 10 or above are eligible.

A.Yes. Both diploma, ITI, polytechnic, and vocational courses after Class 10 or 12 are eligible under Group 2 or Group 4.

A.Yes. Medical and allied health courses such as MBBS, BDS, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical, Physiotherapy, MLT are eligible under Group 1 or Group 2.

A.The scholarship amount is based on the course group (Group 1–4) and includes academic allowance plus tuition fee reimbursement.
