PM-YASASVI-PMS HP

The PM YASASVI Post Matric Scholarship provides financial assistance to OBC, EBC & DNT students for pursuing post-matric, post-secondary, professional, technical, or skill-based education across India.
It ensures tuition fee reimbursement, academic allowance, and Freeship Card facility so students can take admission without upfront payment.
The scholarship is jointly funded by the Central Government and State Governments.

Student must belong to OBC / EBC / DNT category

? Must be an Indian national & domiciled in the applied state

? Family income must be ≤ 2.5 lakh per annum

? Must have passed Class 10 (for post-matric courses)

? Must be studying in a recognized institution (AISHE/UDISE coded)

? Must not hold any other scholarship

? Aadhaar authentication is required

? Attendance should be 75% or above

? Only two boys from a family can receive the scholarship (girls exempted)

Step 1: Visit the NSP Portal

Go to the official website: National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – scholarships.gov.in


Step 2: New Registration

  1. Click “New Registration” on the homepage.

  2. Read the Guidelines for Registration carefully.

  3. Tick the undertaking/consent box.

  4. Click Continue.


Step 3: Fill the Registration Form

Enter the following details:

  • Login
  • Student Name (as per Aadhaar)  

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

  • Gender

  • Bank Account Number & IFSC

  • Aadhaar Number

 An OTP will be sent to your mobile for verification.

After verification, your NSP Application ID will be generated.
(This ID is very important for login.)


Step 4: Login to NSP

  1. Go to Student Login → Select Academic Year.

  2. Enter:

    • Application ID

    • Password

    • Captcha

  3. Click Login.

On first login, you must change your password.


Step 5: Fill the Scholarship Application Form

Complete the form by entering:

  •  Personal Details
  • Religion

  • Category (SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority)

  • Annual Family Income

  • Aadhaar / EID details

 Academic Details

  • Current Course

  • Previous Qualification

  • Roll Number

  • Institution details (Select from dropdown)

 Bank Account Details

  • Your name must match bank account name

  • Provide correct IFSC & account number


Step 6: Upload Required Documents

Documents vary by scholarship but usually include:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Income Certificate

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Bonafide Certificate

  • Marksheet (previous exam)

  • Bank passbook copy

  • Fee Receipt / Admission proof

  • Domicile Certificate

  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
