1. Admission Authority

  • MUHS is the examining and affiliating university, while admissions are conducted either through National/State-level entrance exams or by affiliated colleges, depending on the course.


2. Eligibility Criteria

  • For MBBS / BDS:

    • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

    • Must qualify NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).

  • For MD / MS / MDS:

    • MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized university.

    • Must qualify NEET-PG (for MD/MS) or NEET-MDS (for MDS).

  • For BAMS / BHMS / BUMS:

    • 10+2 with PCB and qualified NEET-UG as per AYUSH admission norms.

  • For Nursing Courses (B.Sc / M.Sc / P.B.B.Sc / GNM):

    • 10+2 with PCB (minimum 45% marks for General, 40% for reserved categories).

    • For M.Sc Nursing – B.Sc Nursing degree with 1 year of experience (as per INC norms).

  • For Pharmacy Courses (B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharm.D):

    • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics.

    • D.Pharm holders eligible for lateral entry.

  • For Paramedical / Allied Health Courses:

    • 10+2 with Science stream (PCB).


3. Admission Procedure

 

Step Description
Step 1: Application Candidates apply online through the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, or respective MUHS-affiliated colleges, depending on course type.
Step 2: Entrance Exam Admission for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS through NEET-UG. For PG courses, NEET-PG / NEET-MDS is required. Other courses may have merit-based or CET-based admission.
Step 3: Counselling Process Conducted by the State CET Cell for medical, dental, and allied health courses. Students select preferred colleges during counselling.
Step 4: Merit List and Seat Allotment Based on entrance exam score and reservation criteria.
Step 5: Document Verification Students must verify original academic, identity, and category documents at allotted college or counselling centre.
Step 6: Fee Payment & Confirmation Admission is finalized after payment of prescribed fees and submission of documents.
Step 7: University Registration Once admitted, students are enrolled and registered under MUHS by their respective colleges.
