About
With a mission to become a Centre of Excellence for Higher Education where aspiring students can be transformed into skilled and well-rounded professionals, Career Institute of Technology & Management (CITM) affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, a State University of Haryana was established in the year 1997. It was conferred a status of Deemed University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 by MHRD, GoI in the year 2008 in the name and style of Manav Rachna International University (MRIU). Vide MHRD Notification No. F.9-3/2007.U3(A) dt. 11/01/2018, the name of Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad (Haryana) has been changed to Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (Deemed to be University). MHRD, Govt. of India vide Notification No. F.9-3/2007/U3(A) Vol.2 dated 08-06-2018 has further extended/regularized the deemed to be University status to Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad, Haryana from 21.12.2013 onwards. In pursuance to the Notification No. F-10/2016-U3 (A) dated May 13, 2019 issued by MHRD, Department of Higher Education, ICR Division, Govt. of India, New Delhi, Manav Rachna Dental College (MRDC) has been included under the ambit of MRIIRS as its constituent Institution. The UGC vide letter No. F.No. 22-1/2019(CPP-1/DU) dated 10th June 2020 has granted 12B Status to MRIIRS. MRIIRS has registered an all-round growth in academics, research and development, ISR, student support and progression, leadership and governance, environmental consciousness besides achievements in many other exemplary processes and procedures.

The University caters to all quality processes very ingeniously and as a result it has been accredited with ‘A++’ Grade during its 2nd cycle by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in February 2023 for 5 years from 20th February 2023.The two engineering programmes namely B.Tech- Computer Science and Engineering and Biotechnology and one Management programme MBA have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation under Tier I. It has also been awarded the prestigious 4-star overall QS Stars rating with impressive five stars rating in seven categories i.e. Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Social-responsibility and inclusiveness in year 2023 and Programme Strength-Computer Science and Engineering. It has been ranked 35th in India by THE Impact Rankings 2023, and has been ranked among the top 200 globally for clean water and sanitation (SDG-6), among the top 300 for the Sustainable Goal of Zero Hunger (SDG-2) among the top 600 for SDG5 – Gender Equality and SDG 3: Good Health & Well Being. MRIIRS has also entered the QS University Rankings (Asia) 2023 (701-750 Band). This year MRIIRS has also established a position in QS International Trade Rankings (151-175 Band). A Local Chapter of NPTEL-SWAYAM at MRIIRS has been recognized with a rating of ‘A’ based on the performance in NPTEL Online Certification courses.

MRIIRS is offering UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes in the broad areas of engineering, management, dental, media, business-studies, physiotherapy, foods and nutrition, social-sciences, computer applications and other consanguine areas. MRIIRS is committed to promote research and development activities by establishing a vibrant research ecosystem that encourages faculty members and students to dedicate themselves in pursuit of new knowledge, truth and innovation, to enhance teaching learning experience, serve the society and be good human being. In the onward research journey at MRIIRS, efforts have been undertaken to not only seed the culture of research but also to achieve substantial momentum by achieving more than 2588 research publications in Scopus and Web of Science apart from several in PubMed, UGC care. We have a well-entrenched Ph.D. programme in the University and all UGC guidelines 2016 on the subject are followed.

Dedicated Career Development Centre and Corporate Resource Centre provide well-designed training modules to enhance their soft-skills, communication-skills and their employability attributes through highly trained professionals. Anti-ragging Committees, Grievances Redressal Mechanism, scholarships for meritorious, needy students and girl students are available. Meetings of the Board of Management, Academic Council, BoS, DRC, BoF, IQAC, Finance Committee are regularly held for long-term and short-term planning, making mid-course corrections and a sustained growth of every process and procedure. We are well aware of the social responsibility of academic institutions and we discharge our commitments to the community with great alacrity. Regular participation in Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR), such as carrying out activities in the fields of Awareness and Prevention of Deadly Diseases, Swachha Bharat drive, Oral Hygiene, Rehabilitation, Environment, Social Upliftment, Ek Muthi Daan, Waste Paper Collection Drive, Mega Plantation Drive, Removal of illiteracy through many programmes including Teacher on Call and Kaushal Karyashala, Regular Health Camps, Blood Donation, Awareness and Prevention of Child Labour, Anti Ragging and Social Harmony is customary with us.
