About 

Khalsa College of Nursing was added as a milestone in the year 2006 to prepare well-qualified nurses to improve nursing services. It is widely recognized as a center of excellence in nursing education with excellence in job training facilities in North Zone.
The institution has highly qualified and experienced Faculty. The college has well-equipped laboratories and a Library for Nursing Students with all the modern Facilities. The college has well-ventilated classrooms updated with modern technology. The college has good and comfortable student accommodation with all the facilities like round-the-clock security, entertainment, boarding and mess.

The College of Nursing came into existence in 2006 with the intake of 60 students of B.Sc. Nursing. Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing and GNM Courses were started in 2009 with an intake of 30 & 40 seats respectively. M.Sc. Nursing was also added with an intake of 20 seats with four specialty areas in the year 2010. ANM just started with an intake of 30 students in 2012.

A democratic atmosphere is maintained among the students and teachers. Student's problems are looked into and the teachers give necessary counseling and guidance. The students are free to approach any faculty member for the purpose.

Special emphasis is placed on the recreational facilities for the personal and social development of the students. Picnics, parties and a variety of entertainments are organized by the student council of Khalsa College of Nursing to provide ample opportunities to the students to exhibit their talents.

Medical services of the Dispensary attached to the College/ Institute are available to the students.
The devout religious-minded founders of the college attached the highest importance to the study of religion and the cultivation of moral values in students. The college provides regular religious instructions, but there is no compulsion of any kind for non-Sikh students. All the students and staff members must participate in Nagar Kirtan on the eve of Guru Nanak's Birthday.

The College is duly affiliated with the India Nursing Council, Punjab Nurses Registration Council and Baba Farid University Health Sciences, Faridkot.
The Institution has come up by dint of hard work and sincere efforts of management staff, employees and also the cooperation of students. There is a great sickness in this world serving the sick is serving God a Type of Sewa. Nursing is a profession that allows us to both serve the sick and earn. One can even get a Ph.D. in Nursing. The admission process for Khalsa College of Nursing in Amritsar, India, varies by course and includes the following requirements: 
1.B.Sc. (Nursing): Applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the year of admission. 
  • Have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or an equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English. 
  • Be medically fit. 

2.GNM: Applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be between 17 and 35 years old. 
  • Have passed 10+2 class or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 
  • Have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. 
  • Be medically fit. 

3.ANM: Applicants are selected based on merit, based on marks obtained in 10+2.
