About Auxilary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) :
Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery practitioners play a pivotal role in the promotion of healthcare through maternity care amongst mothers and ensuring child care and deliveries at both hospital and community levels. The Faculty of Nursing offers a two-year Diploma program in Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery which is uniquely designed to develop capable midwifery resource individuals who have the ability to offer the highest level of patient care and child delivery support. Nursing is one of the most noble professions which not only deals with the medical well-being of the patients but also caters to their mental wellness. Therefore midwifery experts go the extra mile by assisting doctors during the birth procedures. The Faculty of Nursing focuses in shaping the practical abilities of the students through a comprehensive curriculum which focuses in both theoretical aspects and the technical fundamentals of medicine. The faculty goes on to nurture the students in line with the significance of serving the society and the community in various capacities related to medical welfare. As a way of providing the most practical hands on training for the students, the Faculty of Nursing is equipped with a 750 bedded multispecialty teaching hospital - Parul Sevashram Hospital with a dedicated labour ward, where students can engage in various child birth procedures.
