About M.Pharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry :
Pharmaceutical Chemistry is the intersection of chemistry, pharmacology and other biological disciplines, which deals with drug design and chemical synthesis of biologically active molecules. The field runs on a common goal of discovering new pharmaceuticals or enhancing the already existing ones. The Faculty of Pharmacy offers a two year Post Graduate specialisation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry which seeks to provide the students with an indepth understanding of the various aspects of Pharmacy which allows the students to understand this multidisciplinary field. Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a growing field which explores the links between disease, mechanism of action and the development of safe and effective commercial drugs. The curriculum of this program has been strategically designed to provide the students with an understanding of pharmacology, biomedical analysis, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Through this exposure The Faculty of Pharmacy seeks to provide the students with an indepth understanding of the various practical practices of the field which allows them to develop an understanding of the functionality of the industry all throughout the course of the program. Upon the completion of the program, students will get to learn the numerous avenues of the industry.
