The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an important update regarding the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026. As per the latest public notice issued on 22 July 2026, the internship completion cut-off date for determining eligibility to appear in the entrance examination has been extended from 31 August 2026 to 31 October 2026.

The decision has been taken following communications received from the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) after several representations from candidates requesting an extension.

Revised Internship Completion Date

The revised internship deadline is applicable for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate programmes in:

• Ayurveda
• Siddha
• Unani
• Homoeopathy

Candidates completing their Compulsory Rotatory Internship on or before 31 October 2026 will now be eligible to appear in AIAPGET 2026.

AIAPGET 2026 Registration Continues

NTA has clarified that the online application process for AIAPGET 2026 is currently underway.

Other Eligibility Conditions Remain Unchanged

Apart from the revised internship completion date, all other eligibility criteria, examination schedule, and instructions mentioned in the AIAPGET 2026 Information Bulletin and the earlier public notice dated 10 July 2026 will remain unchanged.
