The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have issued the official Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 notification, announcing the beginning of the admission process for MBA and other postgraduate management programmes offered by IIMs and several participating business schools across India.

According to the notification, the online application window will open on 3 August 2026. Eligible candidates can complete the registration process by visiting the official CAT portal and submitting the online application within the prescribed deadline.

CAT 2026 Registration to Start on August 3

Candidates aspiring for admission to MBA, PGDM, Executive Management, and other postgraduate management programmes should complete the online registration after the application portal becomes active.

Applicants will be required to:

• Fill in personal and academic details.

• Pay the prescribed application fee.
• Submit the application before the closing date.

Admission Through CAT 2026

CAT is one of India's largest national-level management entrance examinations and serves as the gateway for admission to:

Selection after the examination generally includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), or other institute-specific admission processes.
