The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. (CCMT) 2026 is set to close the Special Round registration, choice filling, and choice locking process today. Candidates who wish to participate in the Special Round for admission to postgraduate programmes must complete all counselling formalities by 12:30 PM IST on 19 July 2026.

The Special Round is being conducted for admissions to M.Tech., M.Arch., and M.Plan programmes offered by National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other participating institutes.

Special Round Registration Ends Today

Candidates are required to:

• Complete the online Special Round registration.
• Fill and arrange their preferred institutes and programmes.
• Lock their final choices before the deadline.
• Verify all submitted details carefully before final submission.

No further modifications will be permitted after the choice filling window closes.

Admissions Based on GATE and CCMT Merit

Seat allotment in the CCMT Special Round will be carried out on the basis of:

• GATE 2026 score
• Candidate's locked choices
• Category and reservation rules
• Availability of vacant seats

Candidates allotted seats must complete the admission and reporting process within the schedule notified by CCMT.
