CENTAC NEET UG Counselling 2026: MCC Round 3 Admitted Candidates Removed from State Round 3 Allotment List

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), operating under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has issued a notice regarding the removal of candidates admitted through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 from the CENTAC UG NEET 2026 Round 3 allotment process. The notice, dated October 11, 2026, states that the removal is being carried out in accordance with MCC directions before the processing of Round 3 state counselling seats.

According to CENTAC, filtering out candidates who have joined an AIQ seat in Round 3 is mandatory because there is no provision for resignation in this round. Therefore, candidates admitted through AIQ Round 3 have been removed from the CENTAC Round 3 eligible list before seat processing.

The measure is intended to ensure that candidates already holding seats under the All India Quota are not allotted another seat through CENTAC state counselling. Candidates participating in Puducherry NEET UG State Counselling should review the latest eligibility and allotment information available through the official CENTAC portal.

Why Has CENTAC Removed MCC Round 3 Admitted Candidates?

CENTAC has clarified that the decision follows directions issued by MCC. Since resignation is not permitted in AIQ Round 3, candidates who have already joined an AIQ seat must be filtered out before the state counselling allotment process begins.

The removal is intended to avoid allotting CENTAC state counselling seats to candidates who are already admitted through the All India Quota. The notice concerns the eligible list used for CENTAC UG NEET Round 3 seat processing.
