The complete registration and online counselling process will be conducted through the official MP Online portal.
Official portal: https://dme.mponline.gov.in
Candidates must keep their login ID, password and other registration details confidential. One-time passwords (OTPs) and email messages related to counselling will be sent to the primary mobile number and email address recorded in the NEET PG examination database.
Applicants should ensure that they can access these registered contact details throughout the counselling process.
During profile creation, candidates must enter accurate bank account information if applicable for a counselling refund. The advisory asks candidates to verify the following details:
Account number
IFSC code
Bank name
Branch name
Account holder's name
Mobile number
Candidates should ensure that the details belong to the account in which they wish to receive any eligible refund after counselling.
Candidates must enter and lock their college and course preferences within the schedule announced for each counselling round. They can edit their choices until the prescribed choice-filling and locking deadline.
The advisory specifies that:
Candidates must lock their choices within the specified period.
An online portal fee of INR 100 must be paid before the first choice locking.
After locking their choices, candidates can download the paid receipt from the portal.
If candidates edit their choices, they must lock the revised choices again.
If revised choices are not locked, the choices locked before editing will be considered for allotment.
No additional fee is charged for editing and submitting choices again after the initial choice-locking fee.
Candidates are advised to prepare their preferred colleges and subjects in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.
Registration, choice filling, counselling-related payments and admission fee payments must be completed online at the stages specified in the counselling schedule.
Candidates may use net banking, credit cards, debit cards or online RTGS/NEFT transfers, as permitted. The advisory recommends maintaining sufficient funds and checking transaction limits in advance to prevent payment failures.
After the mop-up round, during the stray vacancy round, candidates may pay the prescribed institutional admission fee through any permitted mode other than cash into the account of the allotted institution.
Candidates who completed their MBBS degree at a medical college outside Madhya Pradesh that is not recognised by the National Medical Commission as an eligible Madhya Pradesh institution are classified as non-institutional candidates under the advisory.
During the first counselling round, these candidates will be eligible for merit-based allotment only to 50% non-institutional seats in private medical colleges.
After the first round, non-institutional candidates may also become eligible for institutional seats in subsequent rounds. However, such allotment will be considered only when Madhya Pradesh institutional candidates are not available on merit for those seats.
Candidates seeking reservation under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category must select the EWS option during registration.
They must upload an EWS certificate issued by an authorised officer of Madhya Pradesh for the financial year 2025–26, ending March 31, 2026.
Applicants should verify the certificate requirements before registration and ensure that the document is uploaded correctly.
After the allotment result is published, candidates will be able to download and print their allotment letters through their login accounts.
At the time of admission, candidates must select either YES or NO for upgradation to the second counselling round. The online admission slip will be issued only after this selection. The option can be edited during the period specified in the counselling schedule.
Candidates admitted in the first round who wish to seek upgradation during the mop-up round must also participate in the second round by selecting the applicable upgradation option and filling in their choices.
Candidates allotted seats must personally report to the allotted institution within the admission period specified in the counselling schedule.
The process includes the following steps:
Download and print the seat allotment letter.
Report to the allotted institution within the prescribed deadline.
First report to the government nodal officer's desk to record attendance online.
Present the original documents to the institution's admission committee for verification.
Complete the admission formalities if found eligible.
Obtain a certificate signed by the dean or principal confirming the submission of original documents.
Candidates must carry the original documents listed in Proforma 1 and Schedule 3 attached to the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Admission Rules, 2018. Admission will be granted only after successful document verification and confirmation of eligibility.
Candidates opting for upgradation in the second or mop-up round will not be required to submit the rural service bond and seat leaving bond at the time of admission in the first or second round, as applicable under the advisory.
However, they must execute a notarised affidavit on INR 500 non-judicial stamp paper in favour of the head of the institution. The affidavit must state that if they are not upgraded, they will submit the prescribed rural service bond and seat leaving bond.
The DME advisory also highlights the following points:
Complete registration before the deadline and do not wait until the final day.
Registration deadlines will not automatically be extended because of network failures, computer problems, technical errors or power outages.
Review college fees and other applicable charges before filling choices.
Select only those colleges and courses that you are prepared to join if allotted.
Keep login credentials secure and monitor the registered mobile number and email address.
Follow the official counselling schedule for registration, choice locking, admission and upgradation.
Candidates should refer to the official portal and applicable admission rules for the complete instructions.
