The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2026, operating through the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, has released an important notification regarding the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) payment for candidates allotted seats in the NIT+ System after the completion of JoSAA 2026 Round 5.
According to the official notice dated 20 July 2026, all candidates who have been provisionally allotted seats in NITs, IIITs, IIEST, and other GFTIs under the NIT+ System, and who have already paid the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF), must now pay the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) within the prescribed timeline to confirm their admission.
Candidates must complete the online payment according to the following schedule:

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official JoSAA portal for any updates regarding the payment process.
The amount payable depends on the candidate's category:

| General / OBC-NCL / EWS | INR 45,000 |
| SC / ST / PwD | INR 20,000 |
| Category Changed from SC/ST to General or PwD to Non-PwD | INR 60,000 |
The ?60,000 payment includes the differential amount between the previously paid Seat Acceptance Fee and the applicable fee under the updated category.
Candidates can pay the Partial Admission Fee using any of the following methods through their JoSAA login:
CSAB has clarified that the Partial Admission Fee will be adjusted against the final admission fee payable at the allotted institute.
Candidates who fail to pay the Partial Admission Fee within the stipulated deadline will be treated as having rejected their allotted seat.
