The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has officially published the CSAB NEUT 2026 Seat Allocation Schedule for admissions under the North Eastern States and Union Territories (NEUT) scheme. Eligible candidates seeking admission to Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy programmes can now check the complete counselling timeline and prepare for the upcoming admission process.

As per the official schedule, the online registration and document upload process has already commenced and will continue until July 25, 2026, while choice filling will remain open until July 28, 2026. The Round 1 Seat Allotment Result is scheduled to be announced on August 1, 2026.

Registration and Choice Filling Schedule

Candidates must complete the registration process and upload all the required documents within the prescribed deadline. Choice filling will be available only after successful registration and document verification.

Important Dates

• Online Registration & Document Upload: July 17 – July 25, 2026

• Document Verification & Registration Finalisation: July 17 – July 27, 2026

• Choice Filling: July 18 – July 28, 2026

Candidates are advised to lock their choices before the deadline. If choices are not locked manually, the last saved preferences will be automatically locked by the system.

Round 1 Seat Allotment on August 1

After reconciliation and verification of candidate data, the First Round Seat Allotment will be announced on August 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to:

• Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) of INR 5,000.
• Select one of the willingness options:
  • Float
  • Slide
  • Freeze
• Download the Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) if they choose the Freeze option and proceed for admission.

Round 1 Online Reporting: August 2 to August 5, 2026

Round 2 Counselling Schedule

Following Round 1, CSAB will conduct the second round of seat allocation.

Important Dates

• Data Reconciliation: August 6 – August 8, 2026
• Round 2 Seat Allotment: August 9, 2026 (5:00 PM)
• Round 2 Online Reporting: August 10 – August 12, 2026

Candidates receiving a seat for the first time in Round 2 must also pay the ?5,000 Seat Acceptance Fee before downloading their admission letter.

Seat Withdrawal and Institute Reporting

Candidates who wish to withdraw their allotted seats can do so during the official withdrawal window.

• Seat Withdrawal: August 13 – August 14, 2026

• Reporting at Allotted Institute: August 6 – August 21, 2026

Candidates who receive the Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) after either Round 1 or Round 2 can directly report to their allotted institute without waiting for the entire counselling process to conclude.

Spot Round to Be Conducted if Required

A Spot Round may be conducted by the respective State Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Union Territories, or NERIST, depending on seat availability.

• Spot Round (If Conducted): August 24 – August 28, 2026

Separate registration may be required for participation in the Spot Round.
