Gauhati University has officially invited online applications for admission to its Five-Year Integrated M.Tech programmes in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) for the 2026-27 academic session. The admission process is open for candidates who have qualified Assam CEE 2026, with the online application window remaining active from June 26 to July 5, 2026.

The university announced that these AICTE-approved integrated programmes allow students to earn a B.Tech degree after four years and an M.Tech degree after successful completion of five years. The courses also include provisions for Honours in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI-ML) and Data Science.

Candidates can submit their applications through the Gauhati University Samarth Admission Portal. The university has clarified that no application fee is required for submitting the online form.Click here

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must:

• Have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering Graphics, Agriculture, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship, or Technical Vocational subjects.
• Secure at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying subjects.
• Possess a valid Assam CEE 2026 or JEE score.
• Be a Permanent Resident of Assam (PRC mandatory).

Seat Intake

Each programme offers 30 regular seats, divided equally between:

• 15 seats through Assam CEE 2026
• 15 seats through JEE

Additionally, 10 endowment seats are available separately for both CSE and IT programmes after completion of the regular admission process.
