The IISER Admission Authority has opened the IISER 2026 Counselling Registration window for admissions to BS-MS, BS, and B.Tech programmes offered by participating IISERs and other participating institutes through IAT 2026. Candidates who have qualified the entrance examination are now eligible to participate in the counselling process by registering online and filling their preferred institute and programme choices.

According to the official schedule, the counselling registration and choice filling process began on 2 July 2026 and will remain open until 9 July 2026 (5:00 PM IST). Candidates are advised to complete the registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

To participate in the counselling process, candidates must log in to the IISER Admission Portal using their application credentials, complete the counselling registration, fill and lock their institute preferences, and pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee, wherever applicable. Seat allotment will be carried out based on the IAT 2026 rank, candidate preferences, reservation policy, and seat availability.
