The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially announced the Round 4 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026. Candidates who participated in the fourth round of counselling can now check their allotment status through the official JoSAA counselling portal.

The seat allotment covers admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) for the 2026-27 academic session.

Online Reporting Mandatory

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 4 must complete the online reporting process on or before 13 July 2026.

The online reporting process includes:

• Accepting the allotted seat.
• Uploading the required documents.
• Payment of the seat acceptance fee (where applicable).
• Responding to any document verification queries raised by the reporting authority.

Failure to complete the online reporting process within the stipulated deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Options Available After Allotment

Candidates can choose one of the following options after accepting the allotted seat:

• Freeze – Accept the allotted institute and programme without participating in further rounds.
• Float – Accept the seat while remaining eligible for a better choice across participating institutes.
• Slide – Accept the allotted institute but seek a higher preferred programme within the same institute (where applicable).
