The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially released the Round 2 seat allotment results for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who participated in the second round of counselling can now check their allotted institute and course by logging into the official JoSAA counselling portal using their application credentials.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete the online reporting process within the prescribed deadline. The reporting process includes accepting the allotted seat, selecting the appropriate option (Freeze, Float, or Slide, wherever applicable), uploading the required documents, and paying the seat acceptance fee. Failure to complete these formalities within the stipulated timeline may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Applicants who are satisfied with their allotted institute and branch can choose the Freeze option to confirm their admission. Those seeking a better preference in subsequent counselling rounds may opt for Float or Slide, depending on their eligibility and admission preferences.

JoSAA conducts the centralized counselling process for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) across India.

Candidates are advised to carefully verify all instructions related to online reporting, document verification, fee payment, and subsequent counselling rounds.
