The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will announce the Round 3 Seat Allotment Result 2026 today as part of the ongoing counselling process for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
Candidates who have participated in JoSAA Counselling 2026 can check their allotment status by logging in to the official counselling portal using their JEE Main 2026 or JEE Advanced 2026 credentials, depending on their eligibility.
After the Round 3 allotment is announced, candidates who receive a seat must complete the required admission formalities within the prescribed schedule. These include selecting one of the available options—Freeze, Float, or Slide—uploading the necessary documents, and paying the Seat Acceptance Fee to confirm their allotted seat. Failure to complete these steps before the deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Candidates who are not satisfied with their current allotment may opt for Float or Slide to be considered for higher-preference choices in subsequent counselling rounds, subject to seat availability and merit. Those satisfied with their allotted institute and programme may choose the Freeze option to finalise their admission.
Applicants are advised to regularly monitor the official JoSAA portal for updates regarding reporting schedules, document verification, subsequent seat allotment rounds, and admission deadlines. Click here.
