The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has kept the Direct Second Year Engineering (DSE) Admission 2026 registration process open for eligible candidates. Diploma holders and other eligible applicants seeking lateral entry into the second year of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes can submit their online applications through the official CAP admission portal.

The DSE admission process enables eligible candidates to secure admission directly into the third semester (second year) of engineering programmes offered by participating institutes across Maharashtra.

Registration Process Underway

Eligible candidates are required to:

• Complete the online registration.
• Upload all required documents.
• Verify their application details.
• Participate in the document verification process as per the notified schedule.

Only candidates who successfully complete the registration and verification process will be included in the merit list for the counselling process.

Admission Through Centralised Admission Process (CAP)

Admissions will be conducted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) based on:

• Eligibility prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell.
• Merit prepared according to the admission rules.
• Reservation policy.
• Availability of seats in participating institutions.

After the publication of the merit list, candidates will be able to participate in choice filling, seat allotment, and admission confirmation under the CAP process.
