The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has once again extended the MHT CET 2026 CAP registration deadline for undergraduate engineering admissions. Eligible candidates can now complete the online registration process for B.E. and B.Tech admissions until 19 July 2026 (5:00 PM) through the official CAP portal. The document verification deadline has also been extended to 20 July 2026 (5:00 PM).

The extension has been provided to allow more eligible candidates to complete the admission formalities and participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026. Candidates who have not yet registered are advised to complete the application process well before the revised deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Provisional Merit List Date Revised

Following the extension of the registration schedule, the provisional merit list will now be released on 22 July 2026. After its publication, candidates will be given an opportunity to submit grievances, if any, before the final merit list is announced by the CET Cell.

Admission Through CAP 2026

The MHT CET CAP is conducted for admission to B.E. and B.Tech programmes offered by participating engineering colleges across Maharashtra. Admissions are based on MHT CET 2026 and eligible JEE Main 2026 scores, merit, reservation policy, and seat availability.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates should:

• Complete online CAP registration before 19 July 2026 (5:00 PM).
• Upload all required documents.
• Complete document verification by 20 July 2026.
• Check the provisional merit list on 22 July 2026.
• Submit grievances, if required, within the notified schedule.
